MISSION: We are organized specifically for the purpose of educating individuals and communities in theories and practices for living in a multicultural and multi-religious society and world. The means of providing such education includes maintaining facilities for instruction and training through workshops, public lectures, community-based programs, seminars and publications.
VISION: In a world where fear seems to control our lives, we seek to nurture individuals and communities who affirm the interrelationship of all life. We envision a world in which every |

child is loved and secure. We envision a world in which diversity is embraced. We envision a world in which conflict is mediated peacefully. We envision a world where justice is achieved. Our organization is dedicated to helping individuals and communities imagine and create the world that we envision.
ABOUT OUR LOGO AND MOTTO: The Still Waters logo symbolizes the wholeness of individuals and communities that are grounded in peace and justice. The blue wavy line symbolizes water, the source of all life (human and non-human), thus our interconnectedness and interdependency. The color blue also symbolizes the mind or intellectual accomplishments, thus transformed minds believing in the wholeness of life are the source of peace. The bright yellow circle symbolizes the sun, the source of energy for growth, warmth, sustenance (food). The bright yellow color symbolizes health (of the body, mind, and spirit) and a more vital life, thus caring for our bodies, creating healthy spaces to live, and protecting the earth (all species of life) are the practices of peace-seekers and justice-makers. Both the wavy blue line symbolizing water and the bright yellow circle symbolizing the sun are set upon a white background. The color white here symbolizes the quest for increased spiritual understanding, thus the spirit, the mind, and the body dynamically interacting are the roots and sustenance of our striving for peace, justice, and wholeness.
